At California Garage Door Repair, our Sales & Garage Door Technicians combine consultative sales with hands-on mechanical work. You’ll meet homeowners who already need service, earn their trust, recommend the right solution, close the sale, and then perform the repair yourself.
We are looking for strong sales professionals with the eagerness to earn unlimited commission. While we’re looking for someone who already has garage door repair and installation experience, we’ll train you in technical work to ensure you understand the California Garage Door Repair level of expertise to the customer, as long as you come with the willingness to learn!
What Makes This Role Different
- Uncapped commissions: First-year earnings typically $80K-$120K

What You’ll Actually Do
This is a sales role first, but you’ll also get your hands dirty. Every day you will:
Sell and repair:
- Meet homeowners on scheduled service calls
- Our technicians perform sales and repairs within the same visit
- Sell parts including springs, rollers, motors, and other door components
- Have the opportunity to generate new leads by canvassing to new potential clients and earn additional income
- Build trust quickly, explain options clearly, and close repair or upgrade sales
Serve
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience that earns repeat and referral business
- Collect payments and document each job
- Collaborate with a team committed to helping each other grow within their own business

What We Require
- Valid driver’s license (3 years driving record)
- California Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to lift 75 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, and work in varying temperatures
- Basic comfort with navigation apps, Google tools, tablets, and software
- Reading and basic math skills for measurements and payments
- Minimum of 1 year in consultative sales
