Position Overview: Used Car Manager
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Managing all aspects of the used vehicle department, including inventory acquisition, pricing, merchandising, and sales performance
- Sourcing and purchasing quality pre-owned inventory through auctions, trades, and direct purchases
- Analyzing market trends to ensure competitive pricing and maximize profitability
- Partnering with the sales and finance teams to drive volume, gross, and turn objectives
- Managing inventory levels, aging, and reconditioning processes
- Coaching and developing the sales team to improve used vehicle performance
- Ensuring excellent lot presentation and online merchandising standards
- Driving used car department growth under new ownership leadership
- Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or Assistant Used Car Manager
- Strong track record of achieving used vehicle sales and gross profit goals
- Experience sourcing vehicles through auctions, trades, and inventory management tools
- Knowledge of vAuto, inventory management, and CRM/DMS systems preferred
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a department
- High energy, accountability, and results-driven attitude
