Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of material procurement for manufacturing and project needs
- Source, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing and manage vendor agreements to ensure best value
- Procure materials, including laminates, hardware, hardwoods, sheet goods, finishes, acrylic, and related products
- Manage purchase orders, track lead times, and maintain accurate records
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders proactively to prevent delays
- Expedite materials as needed to meet project deadlines
- Identify inefficiencies in purchasing processes and implement improvements
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in millwork, wood manufacturing, or construction
- Strong communication skills with both internal teams and vendors
- Solid financial acumen with a focus on cost control and budgeting
- Ability to read and interpret bid documents, specifications, spreadsheets, and blueprints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Experience with Innergy ERP software is a plus
