Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s accounting and finance function
- Develop members of the accounting team, promoting accountability and improvement.
- Provide the company’s executive leadership with clear, actionable financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Produce accurate, timely monthly and annual financial statements (including a monthly WIP entry with costs in excess and billings in excess balance sheet accounts)
- Create, refine, and document financial and operational processes that improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
- Strengthening internal controls, inventory accounting, and ERP data integrity.
- Develop and enhance cost accounting systems, job costing models, and margin analysis to support profitable growth
- Drive organizational change by leading process improvements, standardization, and cross-department collaboration.
- Participate in financial forecasting and budgeting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus).
- 2 years of accounting experience (proficiency in QuickBooks a plus)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory systems, and job costing.
- Demonstrated ability to build/improve processes and lead organizational changes.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with leadership and operational teams.
