Responsibilities
- Assist with surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, and cleaning walls or surfaces before painting.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to apply paint, stain, or sealant on various surfaces.
- Learn to read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Apply paint using airless sprayers, brushes, rollers, or other equipment to achieve smooth finishes.
- Support with minor repairs such as caulking, trim carpentry, plastering, or stucco work as needed.
- Help with renovation and restoration projects by preparing surfaces and assisting skilled tradespeople.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn and succeed above all else!
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working at heights.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
- Willingness to learn construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and color theory.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures is a plus but not required—training will be provided.
- Prior experience in construction painting or site work is advantageous but not mandatory.
