Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cook.

In this role, the successful candidate Prepares foods for patient trayline and cafeteria in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned
• Prepares foods for patient trayline and cafeteria in accordance with production sheets and standardized recipes to ensure foods meet established quality and quantity standards.
• Maintains the cooking area in a neat, orderly, and sanitary manner.
• Documents on the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) temperature log sheets in accordance with departmental policy.
• Offers suggestions to enhance systems, processeswork methods, and recipe development for production.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED
1 - 2 years Cooking in a Restaurant or Hospital.
Strong communication (both oral and written), and customer service skills.
Ability to read well and write legibly.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $54,116.05 - $54,116.05 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
