What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer 4/5 Axis position at Nytron Aerospace Manufacturing?
A rapidly growing Aerospace company is actively looking for enthusiastic & responsible CNC Programmer/Machinists. Our company provides a wide variety of services for the aerospace industry and our CNC Programmers/Machinists are required to have broad knowledge & experience in the precision machining trade.
Basic Duties:
Including, but not limited to, performing CNC machining operations required to support the aerospace industry. This means very small lot sizes, many setups and frequent new program prove-outs.
-Program both 2D and 3D components utilizing either MasterCAM and/or HSM Inventor (Experience with SolidWorks a plus)
-Continuous Improvement focus on optimizing the efficiency of the CNC equipment operations through optimization of programming.
-Read and Interpret Drawings and Part Specifications (GD&T Experience is a must).
-Assist in the management of work flow and capacity efficiencies.
-Communicate cross-functionally with all areas of the operations in a strategic role that requires multi-tasking on a day to day basis.Basic Requirements:
-5 years experience programming CNC Equipment in a custom or non-production machining environment.
-2D and 3D programming experience utilizing either MasterCAM and/or HSM Inventor.
-Ability to read and interpret drawings and part specifications (GD&T experience is a must)
-Knowledge of high speed cutting tools, speeds, feeds, etc.

Technical Skills:
Capable to setup CNC 3/4/5-Axis(Simultaneous) CNC vertical milling machines and perform all associated machining operations
Able to carefully prove-out new CNC programs and make minor edits when necessary
Enjoys the challenge of developing unique setups as necessary to produce ultra-low quantities of precision machined components
Has experience working with a variety of materials (ie, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, bronze, high-temp alloys, plastics, ect.)
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
2 year technical school certificate or equivalent on-the-job training
Minimum of 8-years CNC machining experience in a job-shop environment
Minimum of 5-years Programming experience in a job-shop environment
Minimum of 2-years 5-Axis Simultaneous Programming experience
Other Requirments:
Own some precision tools & basic hand tools
Successfully pass physical exam, drug screen, & background check
FULL-Time Position of 8-12 hours Mon-Fri with Sat optional

Pay: $22.00 - $36.00 per hour
