Minimum Qualifications
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).*
There are no minimum education or experience requirements, however, prior to being considered for this appointment, you will be required to pass a keyboarding test that demonstrates your ability to enter text at a rate of at least 30 words per minute with at least 96% accuracy.
Duties Description
Type correspondence, documents, records, and other written material.
Use software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheet, data base management, e-mail, etc.
Review work to ensure conformance with accepted office practices.
Proofread and correct work to produce accurate copy.
Distribute incoming mail.
Maintain files.
Answer phones and handle routine questions or issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,177.00 - $43,521.00 per year
