Manufacturing Accountant

Nyle Water Heating Systems | Bangor, Maine | Full-Time | On-Site

Nyle Water Heating Systems is looking for a Manufacturing Accountant who wants more than a narrow accounting role.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of accounting responsibilities within a growing Maine manufacturer. You'll work directly with company leadership and gain hands-on experience across financial reporting, general ledger accounting, AP/AR, payroll, inventory, COGS and manufacturing cost accounting.

We're looking for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is ready to take on more responsibility and grow with the company.

What You'll Do

You'll play a key role in the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of Nyle Water Heating Systems, including:

• Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations and month-end activities
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Administer payroll and employee benefit-related accounting activities
• Maintain accurate financial transactions within our ERP system
• Support inventory accounting, COGS analysis and manufacturing cost accounting
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Work with operations and supply chain to improve inventory and cost accuracy
• Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls
• Coordinate with external accounting, tax and other financial professionals
• Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency and scalability of our accounting processes
• Take on increasing financial reporting and accounting responsibilities as you grow in the role

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statements
• Experience working with an ERP, MRP or similar accounting system
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to work accurately and independently while taking ownership of deadlines and results
• Ability to work on-site in Bangor, Maine

Preferred, but not required:

• Accounting experience within a manufacturing company
• Experience with inventory, COGS or cost accounting
• Experience with payroll, AP/AR or month-end close
• Experience with Global Shop Solutions or another manufacturing ERP

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $60,000 – $85,000 per year, based on experience
