Job Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will help bring new products into production, enhance current manufacturing methods, and support improvements in quality, cost, safety, and operational performance. This position ensures production processes meet customer expectations, applicable requirements, and internal quality standards while supporting continued business growth. The role works closely with operations, design engineering, quality, production, suppliers, and leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate manufacturing engineering activities for new product introductions, supporting a smooth transition from design and development into reliable production.
  • Review production methods, assembly steps, and workflows to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, cost, safety, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, suppliers, and leadership to resolve issues, align priorities, and advance continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and finished products support customer specifications, safety expectations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, assembly procedures, packaging instructions, inspection requirements, engineering change records, and project updates.
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, equipment layouts, process updates, and ergonomic improvements that promote safe, repeatable, and efficient production.
  • Investigate production issues, customer returns, and product performance concerns; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support quality processes such as RMAs, FAIs, customer compliance requests, quality control activities, and FMEA initiatives.
  • Prepare product data, process information, equipment requirements, reports, and technical documentation for internal teams, customers, and key suppliers.
  • Provide technical support, coaching, and training to production and related team members as needed.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills.
  • Analytical problem solver with the ability to diagnose technical and manufacturing challenges.
  • Self-motivated, curious, proactive, and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality system requirements.


Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product development practices.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement projects in a production setting.
  • Demonstrated success improving manufacturing processes to support quality, cost, efficiency, and operational goals.


Competencies:

Key competencies include electro-mechanical systems, manufacturing methods, lean manufacturing, 5S practices, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, troubleshooting, critical thinking, project management, ERP/MRP systems, and SolidWorks.

Salary : $130,000 - $155,000
