Elementary School Psychologist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and providing psychological services that support student learning and emotional well-being. This role involves conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators and families to foster a supportive learning environment for all students, particularly those with special needs.

Duties

• Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students' needs.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges.
• Develop and implement safety plans and crisis intervention strategies for at-risk students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to support students with behavioral challenges.
• Engage in conflict management and crisis management as necessary within the school setting.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient care records and psychological testing results.
• Provide training and support for staff on behavioral health issues, special education needs, and effective intervention strategies.
• Participate in early intervention programs for students requiring additional support.
• Advocate for the mental health needs of students within the school community.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
• Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
• Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders.
• Strong background in child & family counseling, crisis intervention, patient assessment, and behavioral health practices.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and intake processes.
• Proven experience in case management and conflict resolution within an educational setting.
• Knowledge of special education laws and practices related to IEP development.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,047.52 - $86,766.90 per year
