Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role involves working with students who are non verbal. Knowledge of Autism is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Conduct standardized testing and assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to support student development.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with various disabilities.
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques as needed to assist students in achieving their goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills.
Skills
