Job Summary:
Heavy equipment mechanic at placer gold mine in remote Alaska. The season lasts from mid April through October. Room and board provided. Abundant overtime working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Job:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, & haul trucks
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a mechanic on excavators or dozers
- Ability to work in the field when required
- Work well with coworkers
- Complete required paperwork
- Knowledge of parts books and ordering
- Able to work in all weather conditions and occasionally lift 50lbs or greater
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime
Experience:
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
