Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Industry Liaison to serve as a vital connector between our educational institution and industry partners. This role is designed to foster strong collaborations, facilitate meaningful engagement, and support the integration of industry insights into our academic programs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for education and workforce development, and the ability to build lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders. This role is responsible for driving outreach, opening doors with prospective corporate partners, and building long-standing relationships that align training initiatives with workforce needs.

The ideal candidate acts as an ambassador for technical and workforce training programs, helping local businesses identify skill gaps, navigate logistics, and access tailored training solutions to support regional economic growth

Duties

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with industry partners, including companies, organizations, and community groups.
  • Organize and lead public speaking engagements, industry presentations, and outreach events to promote collaboration opportunities.
  • Serve as a bridge for communication between academic departments and industry stakeholders to align curriculum with workforce needs.
  • Consult with industry partners to evaluate their workforce challenges, upskilling needs, and technical training requirements.
  • Leverage deep expertise in workforce grant funding models to guide corporate partners through reimbursement workflows, application requirements, and compliance processes
  • Promote technical programs, customized corporate training, and workforce development initiatives to regional employers.
  • Assist industry partners with the logistical setup, onboarding, and scheduling required for employee training programs.
  • Gather ongoing feedback from employer partners to ensure training programs stay aligned with current industry standards and technology trends.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of partnership activities, reports on outreach effectiveness, and compliance documentation.
  • Nurture and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with corporate partners to ensure long-term retention and continuous collaboration.
  • Work closely with internal instructional teams and directors to translate industry needs into actionable training solutions and workforce pipelines.

Skills

  • Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
  • Strong background in corporate outreach, consultative sales, account management, or community engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of education administration principles and compliance regulations within academic institutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for report writing, presentations, and communication materials.
  • Ability to analyze partnership data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for growth.
  • Proven experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds in educational or community settings.
  • Capability to manage outreach pipelines, coordinate logistics, and multi-task efficiently.
  • Knowledge of university or academic institution experience is highly desirable.
  • Skills in recruiting industry partners, mentoring students, teaching related topics, and conducting interviews are valuable assets.
  • Willingness to travel locally/regionally as needed for site visits, networking events, and client meetings.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
