Job Overview
Business and Industry Training (BIT) is seeking a dynamic, highly organized Industry & Career Partnerships Associate to join our leadership team. This is a management-level, salaried position responsible for overseeing office operations, supervising administrative functions, and leading a small team of one to two employees. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day leadership, coach and support staff, build strategic industry and educational partnerships, and help drive the organization's continued growth. This multifaceted role combines office administration, team management, and partnership development to ensure smooth daily operations while fostering meaningful collaborations that create career opportunities for students and strengthen the regional workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry employers to create career pathways for students.
  • Develop and manage Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to identify employment opportunities and align training with workforce needs.
  • Position Business and Industry Training as a direct workforce pipeline from training programs to employment.
  • Partner with public school systems and homeschool programs to establish MOUs that align curriculum and training with industry requirements.
  • Coordinate with educators and industry leaders to ensure students are prepared for high-demand careers.
  • Foster and manage strong relationships with industry partners, service providers, public schools, students, and community organizations.
  • Supervise, coach, and provide leadership to a team of one to two employees, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for daily office operations while helping ensure organizational goals are achieved.
  • Oversee payroll processes in collaboration with the Office Coordinator using QuickBooks.
  • Assist with budgeting, reporting, and bookkeeping to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Coordinate scheduling, appointments, and general office management functions.
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support staff development initiatives and promote a collaborative, positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of experience in office management, workforce development, program coordination, business development, or a related field.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Canva.
  • Experience working with grants, educational institutions, industry partners, or workforce development programs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment and may require occasional travel to partner sites, including schools, offsite meetings/events and employer locations.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Management-Level, Salaried Position
  • Expected Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Hours: 35–40 hours per week based on organizational needs.
  • Work Location: In person.
  • Occasional travel to partner sites, public schools, employer locations, conferences, and community events may be required.
