Summary - Job Responsibilities – Activities:
AMSC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for providing cradle-to-grave contract negotiation and administration services for both commercial and U.S. government contracts, supporting NWL’s work in industrial and military sectors. In addition, this role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, internal policies, and industry standards, while working cross-functionally to support risk mitigation, documentation, training, and audits.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in federal acquisition, excellent judgment, and a collaborative mindset to help manage risk and drive business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and finance to ensure full compliance with contract terms and company policies.
Functions:
- Review and analyze complex RFPs, RFQs, and proposals to ensure alignment with contracting requirements and develop appropriate risk mitigation terms.
- Draft, negotiate, and administer a wide variety of contracts including government and commercial contracts, purchase orders, subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements.
- Lead contract negotiations with customers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement).
- Provide contract performance oversight and ensure all obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams regarding contractual requirements, risk identification, and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure a shared understanding of contractual responsibilities and deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal team members and external customers.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in all contract-related activities.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on regulatory requirements, company policies, and best practices.
- Facilitate training sessions and awareness communications on key compliance topics and process updates.

Salary : $130,000 - $175,000
