Responsibilities
- Operate excavators with skill and precision to perform digging, trenching, lifting, and material handling tasks across various construction sites.
- Safely operate a range of heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar machinery to support construction activities.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to execute site plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with horizontal drilling operations and tanker handling when required for specialized tasks.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction setting with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with other heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction site procedures including safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and operational best practices.
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and tanker operations is a plus but not mandatory.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification for operating large vehicles like dump trucks or water trucks is preferred.
