Role Description
Assembler/Painter is responsible for the completion of parts assembly per internal specification. Assembly may include installation of bearings and bushings as well as inspection and record keeping of work performed. This position is full-time, generally 8 hours/day, Monday – Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Finish assembly of parts
- Pick components from stock locations in preparation for assembly
- Package product, as needed
- Data Entry of Time and Activity and inventory transactions into the ERP Systems
- Painting of product using dip and spray methods
- Operate Forklift and other pallet manipulation equipment
- Operate hoist
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols
- Ability to understand and follow directions, both oral and written
- All other tasks as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Experience in Machine shop, Manufacturing, Quality and Inspection practices a plus
- Ability to read work instructions, shop drawings, and bills of materials
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions
- Ability to use hand tools and inspection tools
- Detail oriented person possessing a good mechanical aptitude
- Basic mathematical competence
- Prior assembly experience, preferred
- Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate across departments and staff
- Experience in Machine shop, Manufacturing, Quality and Inspection practices, a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Hand-eye coordination is essential. The employee is regularly exposed to unusual elements, such as high temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, steam, humidity, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Other hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts from knives, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. The employee is frequently required to sustain contact and immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions and is frequently expected to wash their hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
ITAR REQUIREMENTS
All positions at NW Manufacturing Group LLC require access to information or technology subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other U.S. government security regulations.
