Ocotillo Animal Clinic and Pet Resort is looking to add a quality team member. Our clinic is located in Chandler, Arizona since 1994. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats. We offer services such as wellness vaccines, sick exams, surgical services, x-rays, ultra sound and Wellness Plans.

As a Receptionist you will:
~ Schedule: 4 days a week, 10 hour shifts
We are open Mon-Fri 7:30AM-5:30PM & Sat 7:30AM-1PM, schedules are usually 7:30AM- 5PM,
~ Check In and Check out Clients
~ Dispense Prescription items per Vet instructions
~ Schedule appointments
~ Phone skills to make calls and assist with scheduling
~ Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner
~ Use Avimark to add documentation and update client records
~ Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets and other teammates.
~ Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
• Experience with Avimark is preferred.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
• Possession of organizational skills.
• Critical thinking – Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
