The Staff Geologist/Hydrogeologist will provide field and office technical support for the characterization and evaluation of potentially contaminated properties.
Responsibilities
Specific tasks will include conducting soil, sol vapor, and groundwater investigations, conducting site historical research, data management and evaluation, oversight during remedial construction, and preparation of work plans and reports.
- Conducting Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments pursuant to ASTM standards
- Supervision of the installation, development, and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells;
- Groundwater, soil and soil vapor sampling and analysis;
- Management and evaluation of analytical data using Excel and/or Access database software;
- Work plan preparation and report writing;
- Good communication and teamwork skills, and practical problem solving abilities;
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certificate with current 8 hr. refresher; and
- Washington State UST Assessor license a plus.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Geology and/or Hydrogeology and 0 to 3 years of related experience.
- Valid WA driver’s license.
- Successful candidate will either have or have the desire to pursue future licensure as a GIT and LG licenses.
The pay range for this Washington position is $74, 000- $85,000 per year; based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. NV5 may provide restricted stock units, sign-on bonuses, stay bonuses, or relocation allowances as part of the compensation package.
