POSITION SUMMARY
The position supports the Finance team with a wide variety of functions which include transactional processing, general ledger account reconciliation, variance analysis, accounts payable, monthly journal entry preparation, annual audit support and financial reporting.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record journal entries for month end reconcile complex ledger accounts
- Reconcile complex ledger accounts
- Assist in preparation of month-end financial reporting packages
- Provide audit support by pulling records forgeneral ledger, AP and cash selections
- Effectively produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the business operational, financial and strategic decisions.
- Ability to mine for, manipulate and manage large volumes of transactional level data
- Participate in other projects and assignments as needed to support the goals of the department
- Adheres to all applicable regulations and requirements including compliance with internal SOPs, GMP, Health and Safety, WISHA/OSHA, regulatory compliance, company policies, and employment-related laws and statutes.
- Successfully completes all mandatory Quality and Compliance training within required timeframes.

- Proficiency with MS Office products, especially Word and Excel essential; ability and willingness to quickly adopt other job-specific applications will be necessary.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting
- Strong Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Preferred:
- Experience in a biotech, pharma or medical device environment
