Duties
- Assemble medical devices using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments to ensure exact specifications.
- Follow detailed work instructions and adhere to ISO 13485 standards and FDA regulations to maintain compliance throughout the manufacturing process.
- Operate machinery related to plastics injection molding, soldering, and other assembly equipment with accuracy and safety.
- Conduct quality inspections at various stages of production, utilizing mechanical knowledge to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Package finished products carefully for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation in accordance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.
- Maintain a cleanroom environment by following strict cleanliness protocols to prevent contamination of sensitive medical devices.
- Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and soldering equipment.
- Familiarity with measurement tools including calipers and micrometers for precise inspection tasks.
- Understanding of ISO 13485 standards, FDA regulations, and CGMP practices relevant to medical device manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Prior experience or training in plastics injection molding, soldering, or assembly processes is a plus but not required—training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to manufacturing, packaging, and quality assurance processes.
