Role Responsibilities
- Partner with Buying and Planning teams to understand workflows, identify efficiency opportunities, and resolve reporting or system issues, with strong attention to detail when working with large datasets.
- Support business-critical initiatives through ad hoc analysis, dashboard development, and data investigation using Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools (e.g., Looker, BigQuery), and planning systems (e.g., o9).
- Develop and maintain a working understanding of buying, planning, and inventory processes and the KPIs that support decision-making, applying critical thinking to evaluate mathematical and analytical outputs.
- Maintain and update documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials for planning and reporting tools.
- Monitor key performance metrics and regularly audit data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in the retail industry or a similar field, with strong analytics and ad hoc reporting experience, ideally supporting operational or buying/planning teams.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with BI or data visualization tools; and familiarity with SQL or a strong interest in learning programming language.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new systems while troubleshooting technical issues.
- Genuine interest in retail and subscription-based business models, with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Clear and effective communicator with experience collaborating across functions and presenting or training at various levels.
