Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Senior to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing audit engagements, with a focus on not-for-profit and CIRA clients. This role requires a deep understanding of not-for-profit and CIRA accounting principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to foster strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing including planning, performing and reviewing audit engagements. This individual should be very organized, dependable, professional, and a quick learner. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and provide strategic advice, contributing to their financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop audit strategies and risk assessments tailored to each client's unique environment.
- Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and technical expertise.
- Review financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address issues, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting not-for-profit organizations.
- Assist in business development efforts by identifying opportunities for additional services and maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- EA, CPA or CPA candidate
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant audit experience in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAS, GAAP, not-for-profit accounting standards.
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., Advance Flow, GoFileRoom) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, project management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
- Experience with audit research tools (e.g., CCH, RIA Checkpoint) is a plus.

Position requirements:
- EA, CPA or CPA candidate
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in accounting or tax
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 5 years of recent tax return preparation or auditing within a public accounting firm
