About Nutrition Thyme
Nutrition Thyme is a growing functional nutrition practice serving clients nationwide. Founded in Orange County, CA, our mission is to redefine Nutrition Therapy by combining evidence-based care with a root-cause, whole-person approach. We empower clients to improve their health through sustainable nutrition strategies - making care accessible via insurance and direct-pay options.
The Role
We’re seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our expanding team. This unique role blends traditional medical nutrition therapy with functional nutrition. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping clients uncover the “why” behind their symptoms, skilled in (or eager to learn) functional lab interpretation, and thrives in a collaborative, client-centered environment.
Target Start Date: 45-60 days from offer acceptance
Key Responsibilities
- Virtual Nutrition Counseling: Provide Nutrition Therapy and individualized counseling to clients virtually across a range of concerns (chronic conditions, hormone imbalances, digestive issues, fertility, weight loss, clinical nutrition, intuitive eating)
- Content Creation: Contribute to social media posts, blog articles, and educational content to engage clients and promote holistic health practices. Stay current with research and trends in functional and integrative nutrition.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain supportive, empowering relationships with clients, offering guidance and accountability throughout their health journey.
- Independent Practice Management: Maintain accurate charting and scheduling, manage your caseload, and balance flexible work hours within a supportive remote environment.
- (Optional) Functional Testing & Lab Interpretation: Interpret lab results (e.g., hormone, stool, micronutrient and extensive blood panels, etc.) and provide actionable nutritional & lifestyle advice based on the findings.
You’re a great fit if:
- You hold an active RD/RDN credential and have 2–3 years of clinical, outpatient, or private practice experience
- You're curious about the why behind your clients' symptoms and excited by a functional, root-cause lens
- You have a Florida RD license — or you're willing to get one
- You're comfortable on camera and can communicate warmly and clearly in writing
- You've worked in women's health, gut health, or metabolic health (preferred)
- You can manage your own schedule and caseload independently
- You've used telehealth platforms like Practice Better or Zoom (bonus points)
Benefits
- $50/hr for all duties, starting at 10 hrs/week
- Flexible hybrid schedule
- Continuing education reimbursement
- Collaborative, growth-oriented team culture
- Access to clinical supervision and team learning opportunities
- Professional liability coverage
