Job Summary
The truck driver must exercise safe driving practices to ensure their safety and the safety of the general public. The driver is responsible for loading and unloading the truck according to the established standard operating procedures to prevent cross-contamination of feed products. The truck driver must follow the directions of the supervisor and always maintain accurate paperwork. In case of an accident, the truck driver must immediately contact the supervisor. The driver is responsible for compliance with Department of Transportation safety rules and regulations, all company policies, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
Essential Duties
· Deliver feed/grain from the feed mill to production facilities and other destinations
· Responsible for inspection of equipment before loading
· Responsible for unloading the feed/grain load at the correct destination and correct bins/warehouse
· Complete the required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
· Follow biosecurity rules and BSE rules
· Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to the supervisor
· Complete written feed delivery reports
Additional Duties
· Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
· Class A CDL
· A valid medical card
· Minimum two years driving experience required
· High school degree or equivalent
· Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material
· Must meet all DOT requirements and comply with DOT rules and regulations
