Position Overview: As the Registered Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing dietary programs for our residents. You will work closely with various departments to promote optimal nutrition and well-being, while partnering with the Food Service Director to ensure effective leadership within the dining department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutritional assessments for skilled nursing and personal care residents.
- Develop individualized meal plans and nutritional interventions based on residents' medical conditions and preferences.
- Collaborate with the Food Service Director to oversee dining operations and ensure compliance with dietary regulations and standards.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on nutrition-related topics and dietary needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary plans and make necessary adjustments.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to provide input on residents’ care plans.
- Ensure proper documentation of all dietary assessments and interventions in accordance with facility policies.
- Stay updated on the latest nutrition research and trends to enhance the quality of care provided.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential, with current state licensure.
- Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dietary guidelines and nutritional needs of older adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
