Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals for residents, following prescribed dietary plans and special dietary restrictions.
- Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in meal planning and preparation based on resident preferences, dietary needs, and facility guidelines.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation to minimize waste.
- Serve meals in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas regularly.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Work closely with the dietary department to address any specific requests or concerns related to residents' meals.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.
Qualifications:
- Previous cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of dietary needs for individuals with medical conditions, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification preferred).
