A private Christian school dedicated to academic excellence and spiritual development, is seeking a Director of Culinary Services to lead our food service department with vision, creativity, and operational excellence.
The Director of Culinary Services is responsible for the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and overall food quality of our campus dining program. This includes oversight of breakfast, lunch, and after-school meal services, as well as a dynamic catering program that serves students, faculty, and the broader school community.
This individual will play a critical role in cultivating a culture of hospitality, ensuring meals are nourishing, cost-effective, and aligned with our mission. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and a passion for serving others through food.
Qualifications:Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of the food service program, including staffing, menu planning, procurement, compliance, and service delivery

Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost controls, and inventory management

Drive culinary quality and consistency across all meal periods (breakfast, lunch, after-school)

Create innovative meal programs that engage and delight students while promoting nutrition and stewardship

Plan and execute on-campus catering events, including faculty luncheons, parent receptions, and school functions, student team meals, etc

Serve as the culinary lead for the school’s annual spring fundraiser, a showcase event with over 400 attendees

Maintain health and safety standards in accordance with state and local regulations

Lead and inspire a team that reflects the Christian values of service, excellence, and community

MUST be willing to work nights and weekend events - manage school dining services, special events, catering, and lead a team!
Qualifications

5 years of experience in food service management or executive culinary leadership (K-12, catering, or hospitality settings preferred)

Proven track record in budget and food cost control

Strong culinary and presentation skills, with the ability to design creative and mission-aligned menus

Experience coordinating and executing high-volume catering events

ServSafe certification (or equivalent) required
