The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and packaging equipment within a nutraceutical production facility. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of both stationary processing machinery and mobile equipment used throughout the plant. Responsibilities include equipment diagnostics, mechanical repairs, fabrication, welding, cutting, lubrication, and general facility upkeep. The position may also involve supporting other shop or production floor tasks to maintain smooth and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Proficient to perform all activities described for Set-up and Mechanic A.
Keep machines at baseline with all parts, components and safety features in place and functioning as per manufacturer and supervisor recommendation.
Capable of repairing spare equipment and have it ready for production.
Recognition of electrical components on electric panels, PLC, relays, contractors, drives, power supplies, etc. and knowledge of their functions/repair as needed.
Measure and knowledge of voltage involved in an electric panel.
Knowledge of DC and AC high voltage and low voltage, 24V, 110V, 220V, 2ph and 3ph, 460V 3ph.
Use of voltmeter to check DC voltage, AC voltage, continuity, resistance.
Knowledge of standard and metric threads and screw sizes.
Ability to drill and tap threaded holes correctly.
Demonstrate correct and safe use of basic power tools like drill, reciprocating saw, table saw, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Specialized Knowledge:
Proficient to perform all activities described for Mechanic A.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and technical abilities.
Keen observation ability.
Measures of Success:
Keep the lines running as efficiently as possible and reduce down time.
Education & Experience:
3-5 years experience working with packaging line machinery preferred
Prior Set Up and/or mechanic experience preferred
