Responsibilities
- Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring products are packed according to manufacturing procedures and quality standards
- Interpret production documents and work instructions accurately to assemble, package, and label products correctly
- Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, while adhering to safety protocols in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OSHA standards
- Use hand tools and industrial equipment troubleshooting skills to resolve minor mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Perform routine inspections of packaging lines and materials handling equipment, including forklifts and other material transport tools, maintaining a safe work environment
- Follow manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and safety standards in production
- Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, including production documentation interpretation and shift reports
Experience
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with packaging processes, industrial equipment troubleshooting, and materials handling is advantageous
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities during packing operations
- Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and safety protocol adherence within a manufacturing setting is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or troubleshooting skills related to industrial equipment will support success in this role
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining focus on safety standards in production
