What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal and Brand Protection Analyst position at Nutramax Laboratories?
Summary of the Position: The Legal and Brand Protection Analyst will work to analyze sales and other databases, conduct online searches, investigate sales and supplier information, and identify unauthorized use of Nutramax brands/unauthorized sales.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data from sales databases to discover product diversion and sales anomalies.
- Perform investigations into unauthorized marketplaces sales.
- Prepare data summaries that synthesize findings.
- Monitor use of the Nutramax brands and intellectual property online, including working with online resellers to address any issues.
- Perform investigations and enforcement strategies by regular searching and monitoring of online platforms for products and misuse of Nutramax intellectual property.
- Monitor and report on unauthorized suppliers and sources.
- Record and track details of product investigations.
- Conduct initial research into suspicious items and/or websites, including social media platforms.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and implement minor strategic changes (e.g. investigative targets, etc.)
- Create and deliver consultative reports containing online appearances of brand abuse.
- Contribute to the development of work procedures for improving the efficiency of the infringement monitoring/enforcement processes.
- Gather and coordinate information from distribution partners and analyze information for each case.
- Communicate with distribution partners to investigate unauthorized resell of products.
- Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives.
- Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Computer skills, including general internet searching and familiarity with search platforms, use of online commerce and auction websites.
- Must be able to independently communicate with internal partners and distribution partners with accurate data and professionalism.
- An understanding of various social media platforms.
- Experience with spreadsheets and databases.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with all departments within the company and outside counsel.
- Must be able to handle confidential information professionally and consistent with legal department policies.
- SAP Analytical Cloud experience preferred.
