What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Lead position at Nutek Disposables, Inc.?
Purpose and role of job: Leads maintenance efforts for the platform and drives improvement to machine health. Directs and trains all maintenance technicians engaged in the daily maintenance and up-keep of the machinery and or equipment. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment, machinery and components. Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities: Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations. Oversees the repair of all mechanical components of all equipment as required. Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment to and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues. Operates all machines so that maintenance, changeovers, and adjustments can be tested when complete. Assists in the scheduling and planning of all corrective/preventive maintenance, lubrication, changeovers, and engineering trials on all equipment. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Coordinates preventive/predictive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and takes corrective action promptly. Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training. Assists supervisor with all performance appraisals as required. Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable. Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion. Shares on call responsibilities as needed. Provides coverage for vacations and absences as needed. Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so. Education and experience requirements: Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments. Highly advanced or specialized mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components. Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc. Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to work in a team oriented environment. Ability to lead others through example, coaching, and development. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three years of industrial experience or equivalent. Any technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics is preferred.
