Housekeeping Director

Position: Housekeeping DirectorLocation: Brooklyn, New YorkShift: Full-TimeSalary: $90,000 – $105,000 per yearJoin Our Team as Housekeeping DirectorWe are seeking an experienced and highly organized Housekeeping Director to lead, manage, and elevate our housekeeping operations in a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of housekeeping standards in healthcare, and the ability to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, implement, and oversee all housekeeping programs and activities.Create, maintain, and update housekeeping policies, procedures, job descriptions, and performance evaluations.Conduct routine inspections to ensure high-quality standards and regulatory compliance.Coordinate housekeeping services with Nursing, Dietary, Activities, and other departments.Prepare and submit departmental reports, incident documentation, and corrective action plans.Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including scheduling, assignments, training, and delegation of duties.Recruit, evaluate, counsel, and discipline housekeeping personnel as needed.Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear.Collaborate with Infection Control to ensure proper sanitation and infection prevention practices.Monitor supply inventory to ensure adequate availability of equipment, cleaning products, and disinfectants.Maintain financial records, monitor expenditures, and assist in departmental budget planning.Promote team development and a positive, collaborative work environment.Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and committee meetings (Infection Control, Safety, QA, etc.).RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing home or healthcare facility.Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations in a regulated care environment.Ability to plan, manage, and lead a team effectively.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.Must understand and communicate in English.BenefitsComprehensive Medical & Dental CoverageGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)401(k) Retirement PlanEmployee Recognition ProgramSupportive, Team-Oriented Work EnvironmentCompany Perks and Employee DiscountsIf you are a dedicated professional with strong leadership and a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, we invite you to apply today!IND123
