Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager coordinates the total day to day operations for the central staffing office, patient placement and flow, flex pool and clinical liaison activities. Oversees staffing, training, and is a liaison with physicians, hospital personnel and hospital departments. Reports to the Director of Operations Resource Center and Virtual Hospital. Establishes performance improvement initiatives, holds self and team accountable for goals and outcomes.
- Monitors monthly operating expense performance of assigned department(s) with respect to annual budget and other targets established by senior leadership, including but not limited to operating budget, productivity standards, overtime utilization and premium pay standards.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned
- Serves as the leader of the Manpower Command Center when necessary for disasters, or situations significantly impacting staff resources
- Responsible for the supervision and management of the central staffing office, float pool, and clinical liaison.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Nurse License in Maryland (or Compact State as applicable)
- BLS and ACLS Certification(s) from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital management experience required; 5 years of experience preferred
- Nursing Unit Leadership preferred
- Emergency Preparedness background preferred
