Position: Medical Records ClerkLocation: Miami, FloridaShift: Full-TimeSalary: $23–$26 per hourJob Summary:We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare team in Miami. The ideal candidate will manage, maintain, and protect resident medical records while ensuring all documentation complies with state and federal regulations. This position plays a vital role in supporting our clinical and administrative operations.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and organize open medical charts, ensuring timely completion and depletion as required.Perform various administrative tasks related to medical records, including answering phone inquiries, managing correspondence, and supporting healthcare staff.Coordinate secure shredding of outdated records in compliance with State and Federal regulations.Obtain all required departmental and physician signatures on discharge charts within 30 days of discharge.Serve as liaison during state and consultant visits, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.Manage the medical records office efficiently—monitor supplies, maintain organization, and uphold confidentiality.Prepare for and assist with Medicare and OMIG audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Process medical record requests for disability and no-fault cases in accordance with legal requirements.Assist with typing physicians’ orders and transcriptions for discharge charts.Support the facility’s mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care to residents and their families.Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical records management.At least 1 year of experience in a Nursing Home or long-term care setting.Proficiency in medical terminology and medical recordkeeping systems.Computer literacy, including familiarity with common office software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.Strong organizational skills with the ability to make independent decisions.Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.If you meet the qualifications and are ready to join a compassionate, resident-focused team
