Position: Staffing CoordinatorLocation: Merritt Island, FloridaShift: Full-TimePay Rate: $23–$25 per hourAbout the RoleNursing and Rehab is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to support our nursing department. In this role, you’ll manage schedules, ensure adequate staffing coverage, and keep operations running smoothly — all while fostering a supportive, team-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain an updated list of all resident care employee contact information.Provide the Business Office with current manager contact details.Track daily tardiness and absenteeism; report concerns to the Director of Nursing (DON).Collaborate with HR and the DON to schedule modified duty staff per policy.Assist staff with leave requests, time cards, and related documentation.Prepare and post monthly nursing schedules, balancing staff requests with facility needs.Coordinate schedule changes with the DON and assist supervisors with coverage.Respond promptly to employee calls regarding scheduling and coverage.Issue ID cards, time cards, and schedules to new hires prior to orientation.Maintain accurate records of staff licenses and certifications.Provide coverage for the Unit Secretary as needed.Prepare written staffing reports and recommendations.Address grievances or complaints related to scheduling.Ensure HIPAA compliance in all duties.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years’ staffing coordinator experience in a nursing facility.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.BenefitsGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Medical & Dental InsuranceEmployee Perks & Recognition ProgramsSupportive, Team-Oriented EnvironmentOne Personal Floating HolidayBring your expertise and organizational skills to a role that makes a difference in resident care.
