What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and delivering patients throughout all stages of labor
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using continuous fetal monitoring and clinical assessment
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including emergency situations
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and labor‐related treatments per provider orders
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Identify and respond rapidly to maternal or fetal complications
- Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management options, and postpartum expectations
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
What We’re Looking For
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- BLS required (NRP and ACLS preferred)
- Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and maternal assessment skills
- Ability to manage high‐acuity situations calmly and effectively
- Compassionate, patient‐advocate mindset with excellent communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills in a fast‐paced obstetric environment
