Job Purpose
The Home Access Laborer II is responsible for completing construction and installation projects to improve accessibility needs based on specifications, maintaining and coordinating sub-contractor schedules, and managing project work sites.
Key Responsibilities
- General Remodeling construction tasks such as decks, landing, doorway widening, grab bar installation and technical installation such as power door openers or bathroom modifications.
- Mentor and train Level I Laborers and Sub-contractors on-site as needed.
- Assist Construction Manager with developing and maintaining list of sub-contractors.
- Review plans and specs and determine feasibility, code compliance, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Produce quotes as well as coordinate with designer/sales to generate attractive/profitable quotes.
- Ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Plan material purchases, labor requirements, coordinate with staff as needed and follow Numotion documentation procedures.
- Monitor and maintain tools, storage, maintenance, and re-supply while coordinating with other staff.
- Receive and sort products on loading dock as needed.
- Record service and follow up for clients in a timely manner and coordinate with other staff.
- Observe HIPPA, Safety, Code Compliance at all times.
- Participate in educational training sessions or required certification courses.
- Assist with the scheduling and supervision of construction staff and sub-contractors.
- Ensure skills appropriate, job prep, tools and materials are available to staff.
- Ensure Numotion standards and all applicable codes/regulations are followed on job site.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential referrals,
- Identify opportunities to provide Numotion provided services and equipment to clients, contractors, and customers.
- Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform the job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission.
- Adhere to employee or customer confidentiality and comply with Numotion’s policies and federal regulations.
- Always provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in general light construction such as blocking, framing, sheetrock, paint, tile, and handyman level work.
- Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in construction projects, management of sub-contractors, or Assistive Technology/residential modifications for disabilities.
- Understand scaled drawings and written specifications.
- Understand material pricing and availability.
- Knowledge and understanding of labor rates, and labor requirements for construction work, and standard work practices.
- Working knowledge of code and permit regulations.
- Valid state Driver’s License.
- Ability to drive, navigate over urban, suburban, and rural areas to job sites.
- Previous experience providing prices quotes for construction or related customer services.
- Possess or obtain City of Omaha Class D Contractor's license, City of Bellevue License, City of Council Bluffs IA License.
- 10 hour OSHA training.
- Lead Based Paint Certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-pasted environment and juggle multiple priorities
- Strong listening, organization, and priority setting skills.
- Experience working with or supporting people with disabilities. Experience with common PC software (word processing, email, and internet).
