About the Role
The Lead Therapist provides compassionate and evidence-based clinical services to individuals struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. At NuLife Behavioral Health, our therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and motivation, empowering clients to take an active role in their recovery and personal growth.
This role includes facilitating group therapy sessions, providing individual counseling, and collaborating closely with the clinical team to support each client's treatment plan. The Lead Therapist is expected to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards while creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment. This position also serves as a positive role model, offering guidance, consistency, and encouragement throughout the client’s recovery journey.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide individual, and group therapy to clients in IOP/PHP settings.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and formulate diagnoses.
• Develop and update treatment plans aligned with medical necessity criteria.
• Accurately assess and plan for changes in clinical levels of care.
• Deliver crisis intervention and ongoing client support.
• Administer and document urine drug screens as needed.
• Conduct outreach to clients who miss scheduled appointments and document
appropriately.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Active Indiana License- LSW or LMHCA
- 1 years of post-grad clinical experience
- Strong understanding of mental health and substance abuse and co-occurring disorders
- Familiarity with IOP/PHP
- Professionalism, empathy, and a genuine desire to support recovery
