Based in Alsip, IL, Nufarm is looking for a dynamic and experienced Procurement Labeling & Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for packaging focused on labels to manage execution of the direct materials sourcing strategy and supports the needs of the manufacturing (including Tolling) & commercialization functions by focusing on creating purchase orders, material bidding and contract management, ensuring on-time delivery of materials, and assisting in processing timely & accurate payment.
What will you be doing?
Establish and manage Purchase Orders for Direct Materials in Oracle while ensuring contract parameters and payments are aligned.
Convert Planning Department purchase requisitions to purchase orders efficiently.
Update pricing and approved supplier lists in Oracle.
Confirm order accuracy (count, date) for Direct Materials.
Communicate deviations to production and business partners.
Work with the Material Planning Manager to ensure manufacturing performance aligns with MRP.
Provide vendors with monthly rolling forecast for 30/90/180 days
Establish and maintain minimum order quantities (MOQ) and standard lead times for direct materials.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in procurement and labeling operations.
Other tasks as assigned to support the procurement and supply chain function.
Engage with Corporate/Plant Quality, Logistics, and suppliers to resolve incoming packaging quality concerns.
Lead the rejection and refunding process for defective materials.
Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies and mismatched with Pos.
What do you bring?
You hold a bachelor’s degree in Business or 5 years of relevant experience in Vendor Management/Supplier Relations. You have previous packaging and labels purchase experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with excellent relationship management and negotiation shills.

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $53,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $69,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
