Description:
Esperanza seeks an English Language instructor to teach evening classes (6:30 pm – 9 pm) in the Esperanza English Institute at Esperanza College of Eastern University. The Institute offers five language levels, each lasting 14 weeks, across three academic sessions: fall, spring, and summer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and deliver instruction to a diverse population of adult learners.
- Assess the knowledge of enrolled students and submit grades that accurately reflect their achievement.
- Supplement instructional materials to enhance the curriculum.
- Maintain course documentation, including syllabi, assignments, attendance, and grades.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in TESOL, Education, English, or a related field.
- Experience teaching adult learners in multicultural and urban settings.
- Ability to operate in concert with the Mission and Doctrinal statements of Eastern University is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
