What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Lead Associate position at Nucraft Furniture?
Summary/Purpose
The Receiving Lead Person coordinates the activities for the Receiving department. Interacts with purchasing and operations to ensure material availability as well as expediting those materials.
Essential Functions
- Plans and coordinates receiving, storage, shipping components, and delivery of materials
- Oversees material inspection of receiving goods as well as manages non-conformance processing
- Coordinates the work of the Receiving Associates
- Oversees the Nucraft truck schedule
- Prints and matches production issue notes to production paperwork.
- Receives and puts away parts and other materials from suppliers.
- Prepares and ships as well as receives subcontracted parts
- Pulls parts as requested by various production work centers.
- Manages the weekly cycle count of parts and makes adjustments daily.
- Daily housekeeping of the Receiving area
- Professional communication with leaders, associates, as well as working directly with purchasing department
- Oversees the daily work orders schedule

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and bend to precisely manipulate machines. Associates must frequently communicate with other associates on production floor. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
The work environment requires the associate to work in a loud production machine area. Safety requirements include the use of safety glasses.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Certification/Licenses: Hilo certification preferred
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of receiving experience
