Main Responsibilities:
- Growing long-term sustainable relationships to drive continuous improvement in safety culture, performance, and safety systems.
- Developing, communicating, and implementing strategies to support Nucor's goal of becoming the world's safest steel company.
- Interpreting and applying regulatory consensus standards (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.).
- Building and facilitating effective safety and health processes, management systems, and training that drives hazard recognition and prevention.
- Conducting safety visits, audits, and observations.
- Overseeing and coordinating training and support for the Emergency Response Team.
- Performing routine and non-routine administrative tasks, including inspections, record keeping, and onsite testing.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- National Registered EMT – Paramedic Level.
- Safety-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge and experience in worker's compensation.
- Prior Safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience with VPP.
