The RV Paint and Body Technician is responsible for preparing, repairing, and painting camper exteriors to meet nuCamp’s high-quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Take ownership of assigned jobs with a focus on maintaining exceptional quality.
- Perform fiberglass crack repair.
- Complete paint blending and spot repairs.
- Work independently while managing competing priorities effectively.
- Prepare camper exteriors by washing, sanding, taping/masking, and applying primer or sealant.
- Mix, match, and apply paint, clear coats, and graphics using professional spray equipment.
- Repair damage including dent removal, fiberglass and gel coat repairs, and panel replacement.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets high-quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace; properly store hazardous materials and maintain painting equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on spray guns and other related equipment.
- Strictly adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Follow direction from the Department Foreman regarding assigned work.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Autobody experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general work instructions or standard operating procedures. Ability to effectively communicate with leadership and co-workers and respond to questions.
Mathematical Skills:
General math skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts appropriate to the job such as taking and reading units of measure accurately, calculating dimensions or angles, applying concepts such as factions and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to understand and interpret information and ideas related to the required duties of the job. Ability to effectively convey problems or concerns to leadership.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to use the timeclock and Paycom system to clock in/ out, request a punch change request, or submit a time off request. Computer skills are not required for this position.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to understand instruction and take direction about sanding/painting requirement for each piece.
- Ability to remember a variety of material/substrates and recall how to properly prep each accordingly.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment appropriate for the job.
- Willingness to develop and maintain knowledge of nuCamp’s quality standards for the painting role.
- Self-directed, detail oriented, and organized.
- Able to build relationships and work with co-workers in a constructive, respectful, and professional way.
- Team oriented and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
