About the Role

Nubank is looking for a strategic and results-driven Controller Analyst to join our Finance team. As a Controller Analyst at Nubank, you will bridge the gap between traditional financial operations and cutting-edge technology. This is a full-time opportunity where you will support and execute the accounting closing flows and help optimize processes through automation and data analysis. You will partner with platform teams to implement projects that increase the efficiency and scalability of our controlling operations. The role offers autonomy to influence and enhance our financial processes, combining your financial expertise with support for technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical reference for treasury accounting, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance and operational scalability within a global environment.
• Be responsible for validating the accounting specifications of new products received from the designated product accounting team, ensuring compliance with Brazilian accounting standards, Bacen gaap and IFRS, as well as overseeing the proper system implementation of accounting rules.
• Act directly with external auditors, ensuring technical consistency and supporting regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical oversight of the accounting treatment for:
  • Fixed income instruments
  • Derivatives (swaps, NDFs, futures, options)
  • Crypto assets (custody, staking, lending, fair value measurement)
  Ensure proper accounting application of:
  • Mark-to-market (MTM)
  • Hedge accounting
  • Hedge effectiveness testing
  • Effective interest rate
  
  Technically coordinate the preparation of the Notes to the Financial Statements related to:
  • Financial instruments
  • Fair value measurement
  • Crypto assets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Administration
• Postgraduate degree or specialization in Financial Markets, IFRS or Controllership (preferred)
•  Fluent English (mandatory), with the ability to communicate effectively with auditors and global stakeholders
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in activities related to:Treasury accounting, Financial instruments, Derivatives
• Preparation of Financial Statements and Notes disclosures
• Previous experience in a fintech, bank, brokerage or financial institution
• Experience in regulated environments and interaction with external auditors
• Experience with automation of accounting routines
• Experience or familiarity with the application of AI in operational processe

Location & Work Model

• Hybrid 2-3 times/week: Our hybrid work model brings us to the office at least twice a week, on strategic days designed to maximize team connection and collaboration.
