Job Overview:

The Director of Solutions Engineering oversees a team of technical experts who design, present, and implement complex technology solutions for government agencies, ensuring alignment with government requirements, compliance standards, and procurement processes, and strategically collaborate with business development teams to capture new business opportunities in the federal market. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Delivery Management:

• Manage the BSEE Contract, EITCS and TIMS

•  Develop a portfolio of new infrastructure operations Shared Services programs across NuAxis target customer base

• Create and market program value through innovation and process optimization for BSEE and DOI

•  Establish relationships with DOI OCIO Shared Services decision makers to ensure consolidation expands NuAxis footprint

• Create processes and oversee spread of best practices across all NuAxis infrastructure operations Shared Services  

Solution Architecture and Design:

• Lead the development of customized technology solutions tailored to unique government agency needs, including system architecture, integration, and functionality.

• Deep understanding of government regulations, compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, CMMC), and procurement procedures to design solutions that comply.

• Conduct a thorough needs analysis with government clients to identify pain points and tailor solutions, leveraging NuAxis’ capabilities, including CX and relevant past performance
   

Pre-Sales Support:

• Collaborate closely with business development and capture teams to identify government opportunities and craft compelling proposals.

• Present technical solutions to government decision-makers via white papers, demos, pilots, etc., demonstrating value propositions and addressing technical concerns.

• Develop technical response artifacts for Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts across government agencies at all levels.

• Proactively engage with customers to understand their evolving needs and uncover new business opportunities.

• Manage customer expectations throughout the sales cycle and during the post-implementation phase.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Architects, Systems Engineers, and technical specialists focused on government contracting.

• Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

• Recruit and onboard new talent with relevant expertise in government contracting.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

• Stay informed about emerging government technology trends and regulations to uncover new market opportunities.

• Develop strategic plans to target specific government agencies and market segments.

• Contribute to the development of the company-wide government contracting strategy. 

Required Skills and Experience: 

• Extensive experience in government contracting, with a deep understanding of federal procurement and compliance requirements.

• Strong technical background across relevant technology areas (e.g., cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and network infrastructure).

• Proven track record of designing and delivering complex technology solutions to government agencies.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of technical professionals.

• Ability to navigate complex political landscapes within the government contracting environment.
