Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator r is responsible for picking and preparing items — including chairs, tabletop, linens, bar stools, sofas, tables, side tables, and other furniture pieces — for shipment and delivery to events and clients. This role is critical to ensuring that products are accurately selected, properly staged, and packed to prevent damage in transit so they arrive in pristine condition. The Picker works closely with the lead and Loading lead to ensure all products meet Nuage’s quality standards and deliver on time.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow Pulsheers to collect the required furniture pieces — chairs, sofas, tables, bar stools, side tables, and more — from the warehouse.




• Ensure all collected items are in good condition and meet quality standards before being packaged.




• Collaborate with the warehouse team to organize products so they are ready for delivery'shipping.




• Pack and prepare collected items for transport in a safe manner, preventing damage during transportation.




• Maintain accurate records of collected products and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.




• Use material handling equipment, such as forklifts, as needed to move furniture pieces efficiently and safely.




• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies during the handling and collection of products.




• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as loading and unloading trucks or organizing inventory.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.




• Ability to read and follow work orders and operating instructions accurately.




• Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.




• Ability to perform basic calculations related to product quantities and inventory control.




• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, order picking, or materials handling.




• Experience using inventory-control or warehouse-management systems.




• Familiarity with the safe operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.




• Frequently required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted; team lift required for items exceeding 50 lbs.




• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights consistent with warehouse racking environments.




• Must be able to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.




• Must be able to remain on feet for extended periods and move throughout a large warehouse facility.

Work Environment

• This position operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, dust, and moving equipment.




• The employee may occasionally be required to work in outdoor loading dock areas subject to varying weather conditions.




• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas and will be provided as needed.




• Schedule flexibility may be required based on business needs.




• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
