What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A Flatbed Floater Truck Driver position at Nu-Way Transportation?

We're looking for a safety-focused, dependable Flatbed Floater Driver that will run out of our customer locations in the Chicagoland area. Locations consist of University Park, Elgin, Burns Harbor, Portage. We're searching for someone who values structure, appreciates respect, and wants to work for a team that has their back - on and off the road.
Required Qualifications Include
- 1 year of verifiable experience with a Class A CDL
- 6 months of recent flatbed experience
- No disqualifying tickets/accidents in the last 3 years
- No drug or alcohol violations
Pay
- Gross Weekly Average: $1,800/week minimum
- Paid Weekly

This Position Includes
- Product Hauled: Steel Freight (plates, bars, tubes and coils)
- Freight Handling: Driver is responsible for load securement and tarping. Some locations may have Conestoga trailers but not guaranteed.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Home Time: Home daily, and off weekends

Job Responsibilities
- Stay DOT compliant with all federal regulations and company protocols
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections
- Maintain equipment and communicate repair needs
- Maintain professionalism with customers and dispatch
