NTT Data seeks high-achieving team players who quickly adapt to new challenges and entrepreneurial ventures. We are looking for a Virtualization Systems Analyst to work with our global client in Rochester, NY. This role will require 100% onsite presence at our client site.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Virtualization Engineer to support virtualization initiatives and ensure seamless user experiences within Citrix environments. This role focuses on managing application virtualization requests, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process application virtualization requests.
- Initiate and document change requests for virtualized applications.
- Provide user support for Citrix login and application launch issues.
- Assist with documentation for application virtualization processes.
- Create and test application packages for deployment.
- Troubleshoot application installation and configuration issues.
- Maintain and support application portals.
- Assist with application installation and troubleshooting on Citrix Flexible VDIs.
- Collaborate on projects related to virtual environments and provide technical guidance.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience with Windows 10 administration.
- 3 years of experience with application virtualization and VDI solutions (Citrix expertise required).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for application installation and configuration.
- Solid understanding of virtual environments and ability to guide end users and development teams.
- Basic knowledge of network connectivity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and detail-focused.
Preferred Certifications:
Relevant certifications in virtualization or Citrix technologies are a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
This role is best suited for a professional with strong technical knowledge of Citrix and virtual environments, who can provide hands-on support and guidance to users and project teams. The position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and documentation, ensuring smooth operations within the virtual infrastructure.
